About this piece

Up for grabs is the legendary tank of the turntable world—the Technics SL-1200MK2. This unit is from the definitive "Golden Era" of 1200 production, featuring the highly sought-after factory upgrades from this period, including the 3-layer TNRC anti-resonance compound chassis and the upgraded precision tonearm bearings. 
We've run over the usual failure points and everything checks out beautifully. Tone arm and VTA adjustment moving freely and there's no platter wobble or play on the spindle. The analogue pitch fader (preferred over later digital versions) also glides smoothly across the range with a crisp, solid click right at the 0% detent. 
Power: This is an import unit featuring the multi-voltage selector under the platter, which is already safely switched to 220–240V for Australia. It currently has a EU/US plug combo on it, so you just need a standard, travel adapter to plug it straight into the wall at home.
